Yes, as many of you have probably figured out by now, I'm alive. That is, I survived the whole tooth-pulling ordeal. I'll admit, I was a little nervous. But then they gave me some of that gas --after putting an IV in my hand (only god (and possibly the dentists) knows why)-- and I was out. I remember them shining a bright light in my face and my mouth being open, but that's about it. It seemed like maybe five minutes that I was awake, but now that I think about it, it was probably more like thirty seconds. Then I woke up about 50 minutes later and they were done. I actually felt pretty good (I didn't realize it, but the sleepiness was still wearing off). It felt kinda weird to touch my mouth because it was all numb. Then when we got home I was really hungry, so I tried to eat some applesauce. That didn't work so well because I had trouble closing my mouth, so I mostly dribbled it all over the place. My teeth (or lack there of) were starting to hurt, so I took some medicine and a nap. Then I woke up feeling much better. The End.

And the Results Are In...
So you all got your high school results in today. Only a few days late. I've heard from a few of you so far... the outcome is mixed. So congrats to those of you who got what they wanted, to those who I don't know about yet (or who possibly don't know themselves), well, bonne chance. And to those of you who maybe aren't quite so happy, don't feel bad about yourself because you're all wonderful! Besides, it's a screwed up system. Now I'll stop giving orders on how you should feel, and tell you about my news. Does everyone have their little violins out? I'm getting my teeth pulled tomorrow! Sob, sob. Sad, but true, I'm having five teeth taken out tomorrow. They're going to knock me out first, so I should be asleep (or partially) for most of it. Still, I have visions of the Dentist from Little Shop. And on April Fool's Day too! That would be some trick. I'll tell you how it really went tomorrow. Ah well, don't worry about me too much. As A so wisely advised, I'm going to "milk it".

Little Shop of Horrors
Yep, this is it. I do believe I am officially the first person to blog about Clinton's third annual musical. That would be Little Shop of Horrors. It was really the best one yet, and the set was amazing, if I do say so myself. All of the acting and singing was really good, and everyone played their part well. Okay, okay, I'll quit sounding like I'm writing some review. Except it was really good. And it was a good story too. Not too complicated (this is important, you know, especially for someone like myself, who has a difficult time figuring out complicated stuff). And I also really liked the end. It wasn't all sappy, you know? The one one thing I didn't enjoy though was I had a cold. Ahem, make that a cough. I tried not to cough all over everyone or cough too loudly, but do you know how difficult it is to keep from coughing? Well let me tell you, very. I nearly killed myself trying. Although A, sitting two seats down claims she didn't hear any of this. Ah well, I think we all pretty much had a good time. Oh yeah, and T and M kissed for like ten minutes because people wouldn't quit clapping. You could see him laughing.

It's Been a Long Time
Sorry to keep you waiting like that (because I know you were), but I've just been terribly busy. So here, let me update you on all the events you missed. First of all there was the Mardi Gras school potluck. I don't know about the whole Mardi Gras thing (besides, they were about a month late), but they had these awesome little metallic babies scattered around on the tables. And you know how people get a little wild... anyways, it was a great party. And I didn't tell you about the swing in PE, did I? So someone had looped a long jump rope over one of the support beams on the roof, then tied it at the bottom. Everyone started to sit on it and the others would push them around. It was so much fun! It swung it a large circle, and when it went high, you could see over the rooftops. I <3 rope swings. And then there was Easter break (yeah, some break). At the last minute, my family decided to go skiing. All of us--dog too--drove up to this little motel, stayed Friday night, then went skiing at Belleayre Saturday and were back home that evening! (Oh yeah, mom and the dog didn't ski.) It was lots of fun, although I came back with a cold. Then I got lots of chocolate on Sunday, and woke up with a worse cold on Monday. Very sorry to say that I didn't manage to make it to school that day. Although Tuesday I did, and now here I am, sitting at the computer. And yep, that's it.
Sigh. *Lets out breath.*
Oh, PS. I saw Mr. Bean's Holiday. I also <3 Mr. Bean.

Technical Difficulties
Sorry for not writing for so long but, see, we were experiencing some technical difficulties. No really. Well okay, first I forgot I had a blog. Then, when I remembered, I was just too lazy to write on it. And then the computer broke down. Although there's enough computers in this house for each of us (dog included) to have our own, there's only one with internet. That's the one that broke down. My dad's. So while he stressed over any work that might be lost, I lay in a puddle of melancholy. What was I going to do? No internet for--for--for who knows how long.
Now if you know me maybe you're thinking 'but what about that thing on your desk?' Yes, it is a computer, but the screen saver is just about the most exciting thing on it. No joke.
So it turned out to be nearly a week that we were reduced to reading actual newspapers, using the phone for more that just calling my grandparents, and strengthening our channel-surfing skills. And then of course after that, my dad had to make up for lost time, so I couldn't blog. But of course, I eventually got my chance.

President's Day
As many of you have probably heard, today is Presidents Day. Not that that necessarily means anything to you. I mean, it's a pretty vague name when you think about it. Like take 'Washington's Birthday'. There's no question as to who or what it's about. But this Presidents Day business, I just don't know. Which president are they talking about and why is it their day? You'd think they could have been a little more specific. As you already know --at least you do now if you tried to go to school-- we have the day off. We also have the rest of the week off. Woo yeah! And once again I wish they could have told us who this president was so we could thank him for scoring us a day off.

The Plot Thickens
So you remember about that tooth I wrote about? Yeah, well, the story gets even more interesting. So the day after I'd lost it I'd placed it temporarily on the cabinet outside the bathroom. Later that afternoon, my mom comes along and asks what happened to the tooth. I told her that I'd fallen out. She said, "I know that." So I came to see what she was talking about. Sure enough, I saw that there was only a half of a tooth. I figured it must have just fallen off of the cabinet and broken. But when I asked my mom where she'd found it, she pointed right to the spot where I'd left it. I looked around, but the other half was no where to be found. So the tooth had never left it's spot, yet managed to break in half and mysteriously dispose of the other half. Or else the Tooth Fairy's getting pretty cheap.
